January 17, 2019 - Good, clear palate with notes of lemon. Not as much cut as I would have liked; not really fat but fuller and softer than expected, more ‘13 or ‘11 than ‘14. Good but not more. By the second night, distinct vanilla notes have emerged on the palate. Not excessively oaky, and it’s pure vanilla bean, which I don’t mind. This is pleasant and drinkable but not special.
