January 14, 2019 - Starting to blossom 2014 is so classic reminds me of 2007 or 2004. Excellent wine

December 2, 2018 - So good for the $. Bright, pale yellow. Citrus zest and flowers on the nose. wonderfully salinity and cut on the palate with very nice depth. This stuff is lights out for a premiere cru from the left bank. Wow.

October 15, 2018 - Potpourri of Wines from an Autumn Trip to France; 10/9/2018-10/24/2018 (Paris, Lyon, Beaune, Reims): Greenish yellow. Superb mix of lemon, orange, iodine, and white flowers. Medium weight, actually not terribly dense for this cuvée. Saline fruit, lovely acidity, lots in reserve. This is a great Forest which is already drinking splendidly. An especially good choice on a very warm autumn afternoon.

October 4, 2018 - A Whiter Shade of Pale: Featuring Killer Chablis (Martina, Mpls): Pale gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. Part of a great trio of 1er Dauvissats that were all outstanding, this was my second favorite. More coiled and tight than the '10 Vaillons, this comes into its own gradually and by 30 to 45 minutes has roared out of any perceived shell. White citrus, steely mineral, saline, more white fruits, pear, very long. If only there was a way to drink the '10 Vaillons and '14 La Forest when they are at the same point in there aging curve, now that would be a fun comparison. The '14 may ultimately outshine here. 93 to start and 94pts at peak.
