January 24, 2023 - Haven't had a Ken Wright in a while; this was lovely. Ripe red berry fruits, some baking spice, floral notes, and a hint of orange peel. The palate is balanced with solid depth and good freshness. Very enjoyable.

    June 10, 2022 - WIML92

    Tasted non blind.

Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking throughout. Nose of Birch, forest floor, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black cherries, black berries and black raspberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.

December 31, 2021 - This was my second bottle of this wine. This bottle was better than I remember the first being. Not sure what accounts for this; bottle variation, the accompanying meal, or cognitive decline. But having said this, I think there are better Oregon PN, especially from Shea Vineyard.

September 3, 2021 - This wasn't my style. It tasted of dried cherries and a bit of earth. I thought the fruit was overshadowed by too much oak. I like wines from grapes of Shea Vineyard and believe there are better representations on the market for my taste. however, I can see that if one is looking for a Pinot Noir with a lot of oak structure this may be appealing.

June 10, 2021 - Rich, dense, and spicy. Full bodied, clearly a bit of new oak here. Baking spices, some dark fruit — almost a cognac-coated cherry taste — and a bit of vanilla rounds it out. Really wel made but not my style.

April 15, 2021 - Had a velvety nose, with violets, warm red fruit, and a little tar. Palate had a nice bright red acidity on the front, followed by black cherry flavors, with hints of earth and minerals. Very nice, if somewhat one-dimensional.

June 16, 2020 - Full bodied Pinot. Lots of ripe red cherries, forward on the palate with a good amount of acidity. Went perfectly with some grilled lamb chops

June 11, 2020 - This was triple decanted one hour before dinner. Light, transparent and vibrant red. Very fruity at first, after one hour the more subtle flower and spice aromas emerged. Medium-light body, but with a hint of residual sweetness on the mid-palate that gave it a feeling of additional heft. Sappy, with a hint of spice; modest tannins, and a hint of creaminess on the finish. A lovely, balanced wine that could accompany a wide variety of food. A bit expensive for this quality level.
