August 27, 2020 - Typial Médoc ready to enjoy. Generous red berries in the nose, liquorice, roast aromas. Medium bodied palate, well structured and silky, with matured red fruit, tobacco, leather, liquorice, chocolate and plum. Testimony of an excellent vintage. Enjoy now and over the coming 3-5 years.

August 18, 2020 - Perhaps less aromatic than I remember. Black currant and creosote, some charred wood, a hint of dark chocolate and spice. Medium-full bodied with bright acidity and moderate tannin. If this bottle is typical, this wine is now probably in the early stages of decline but with another 6-8 years of life left. Drink now-2025 91

August 8, 2020 - Been almost a decade since my last bottle. This was surprisingly rich and ripe with a very good, firm structure, dark fruits, great depth and a medium, smooth body. Definitely shows some age, but not washed out, dried out or muted.

May 22, 2020 - Last tasted 18 months ago, this has really moved forward and is ready to be enjoyed with a couple of hours in the decanter. The previous tannic backbone has mellowed, and it is smooth on the palate. In retrospect I realise now what great value for money this was at the time of purchase. The nose is deep, and everything is in balance on the palate, with good depth. Similarly the finish is deep and well balanced, with a decent length. I would expect this to stay at this level for at least the next 5 years. 90+

February 2, 2020 - Oh yeah. This is ready but with more than enough backbone to last at least five more years. I likely have less time than the wine, soit’s on my drink up list
