September 1, 2020 - Last of 6 bottles, split a case with a friend who picked these up on closeout. For $15 this was a smoking deal. Aromatic nose of orchard fruit. Golden yellow, white peaches and mango, without being overly fat, some minerality on the back side. Perfectly ready to drink now.

September 22, 2019 - Last btl (wouldn't have been my last if I hadn't broken one...) Lovely soft nose of honey and guava, lime zest, and some nuttiness. On the palate, acidity a little softer than last time, and a touch of guava peel. Clean finish, showing a touch of pepper. For my palate, this is either at, or slightly past peak.

March 3, 2018 - This is a fabulous wine for those who understand and appreciate the particular style. A deliberate oily/viscous texture, honeyed grilled chestnut aromas, and nuances of flavor that include buttered baked apple and pear. Long length of finish. Perfect with lobster and butter. Moderate acidity. I'm going to compare with oaked Chenin Blanc and Pinot Gris.

September 10, 2017 - Notes from day 2 open. Beautiful pale gold in color. On the nose, dense guava and honey. On the palate, a hint of herbs/mint, citrus oil/grapefruit pith. Great density and very mouthfilling. In a great place right now after a day open, but it was damn good yeaterday too.

November 24, 2016 - Notes very similar to last time. Loads of honeycomb and almond on the nose. Great acidity on the palate, which maybe wasn't as visible last time; this time it seemed slightly less full bodied. Very versatile: worked well with roasted yams with brown sugar, by itself, and with savory roast vegetables as well. Excellent showing.
