February 5, 2024 - Still outstanding, a great year for Oregon Pinot and this is right at the top of the tree. One of the best Beaux Freres I’ve had the pleasure of drinking and making only regret is that I don’t have any more!

June 23, 2023 - I think this wine hit its peak when I last tasted it in 2022. It is still a very good wine, but it now appeared less interesting with little complexity.

February 8, 2023 - Bit of fizz here, carbonic? A dank and dark glass of Pinot funk. Dark sweet fruits, low tannin, low acid. 14% Alc.

Easy to enjoy, (and I did) but the Burg-lover in me would like this better with more acid and tannin for backbone. My wife the Oregon Pinotphile loved it. With so many great Oregon Pinots out there, its hard for me to justify the price on this one. 14 was a big ripe year and it shows in the glass.

November 21, 2022 - Moët Hennessy Portfolio Tasting (10 Cases, London): We do need to caveat that we are not new world Pinot people and we always feel that in the hands of people, that love the style this would be rated higher.
This was a bit of a let down actually, touch fizzy on the palate too to start, juicy, a touch overdone in the spice and the sweet fruit. Good wine but a bit out of balance and sync with its element and not helped that poor thing it’s style fell on the wrong palate . 89

November 4, 2022 - Undoubtedly new world with concentrated berries upfront. This was purchased on release and stored properly since. This improved throughout the night in the glass so this would certainly benefit from a couple hours in the decanter. This is likely in its prime because although this needs time for the balance to improve, my fear is there will be no fruit left when that happens. Revisit 2024.

May 23, 2022 - Outstanding Burgundian-style pinot noir. Nose subdued, but great balanced palate - cherry flavors.

April 2, 2022 - Lovel this; lI’ve reviewed before and it’s as good as ever. For my money, and I’ve drunk a lot of them, one of the best Beaux Freres. Ready now but will no doubt be terrific for another 5-10 years.

March 3, 2022 - Decanted briefly. Rich and viscous Oregon Pinot with perfumed fruit on the darker side. A special cuvee from BF in honor of the 2014 growing conditions being similar to Burgundy in 1959. Not sure how this will age but this was my only bottle.

November 2, 2021 - Big fan of Beaux Freres wines and this was among the best I’ve had. Drinking beautifully now and will continue to do so for several years to come. Classic Oregon Pinot. Excellent.
