April 6, 2024 - Same impression as my last bottle. Popped and poured this time instead of pre opening for a few hours to give it some air. Fruit forward - blackberry and blueberry - mid weight cab with a nice long finish, well integrated tannins. As I noted with the 1st bottle of the Kenefick I opened, it was slightly sweetish at first, but not off putting at all, and blew off with my next glass. Very enjoyable.

December 12, 2023 - On initial opening, this was too sweet for my liking. Kenefick Ranch is always one of the more fruit forward cabs in the Quivet/Myriad lineup, but this seemed a little over the top. However, the wine improved considerably with air. The best glass was the last, about 2.5 hours after opening. I have one bottle remaining and will give it a 2-3 hour decant before enjoying.

October 3, 2022 - After trying this bottle over 2 nights, I re-read all of the reviews. Unfortunately, the closest tasting note came from sean7711's 1st note. I can assure you that the food was better than the wine. #itsalwayssunnyinphiladelphia

February 28, 2022 - Color is still deepest purple hue even though the cork was mid purple red…
Nose isn’t big at all… somewhat shy…flavor is bigger than nose…
Sweet blackberry, raspberry, framed with nice tannins that are a tad drying… borders but stops short of syrupy/jammy……
Good persistent length on the finish…good… not great…

January 8, 2022 - Opened at home for about an hour, then re-corked to take to the restaurant.

On the nose, very pleasant blackberry and blueberry. On the palate, there was a little cola flavor to the blackberry and blueberry. Only slightly sweetish. Good long finish, tannins were integrated. More of a mid weight cab to me. Very enjoyable, everyone loved it. Drinking beautifully now, with this peak lasting 4 years or so.

Drank along side a 2017 Carter LPV and a 2016 Myriad Napa for a Mike Smith drink off. The order came out: 1) Carter, 2) Myriad, 3) Quivet Kenefick.

All 3 were stellar, the Myriad and Quivet were way better price points, the Carter wines are pretty pricey, but worth a splurge.

October 31, 2021 - Quite fruit-forward--somewhat sweetish. Mixed berry fruit--not exclusively black fruit that I normally find in CS--raspberry, blueberry, currant. Some dustiness, Acids and tannins are mostly resolved, Nice, relaxing aftertaste.

January 17, 2021 - Decanted for 2 hours. Extremely fruit forward with a gorgeous deep dark red profile, long long finish, tongue-staining. Paired with sirloins and mashed potatoes au jus.

December 28, 2019 - Decanted for two hours, ahead of the beef stew. Nose is mettalic fruity. Finish is velvety raspberry. Drinkable now. Substantial fruit, should stand up to the stew, if any remains!
