March 23, 2018 - Solid restaurant purchase
January 31, 2018 - Atlas, Howell, ripe red and black fruits, oak showing with baking spices. 19 mo in French Oak. Lush, showing good balance and nice drinkability. 6 packs, hot on finish. Just under 20 cost.
November 6, 2017 - Second go round with this wine. Adding some complexity from first try nearly six months ago. Definitely benefits from an hour plus decant. Dark purple in the glass. Nose of dark fruits, cedar/oak and cherry. Rich, round mouth feel with flavors of cassis, vanilla, earth, tobacco and black licorice. Acid, tannins and alcohol not fully resolved, so further aging should bring these elements into line. Excellent QPR for those who are willing to wait a bit longer.
August 4, 2017 - Two hour decant. Solid Napa Cab with dark fruit, vanilla and leather on the nose. Fruit forward palate with medium long finish.
June 30, 2017 - Good QPR. Grapefruit peel, blackberry, and cassis.
May 20, 2017 - Elway's at Denver International Airport. Deep purple. Typical cabernet nose of dark fruit, blackberry and violet. Bright and inviting but not overly complex. Medium mouthful with some acidity and light tannins. Not a big Napa cab but very approachable. Ready to drink.
