July 16, 2022 - Sorry to say i was just a bit disappointed.
The bottle was thoroughly decanted. The cork was sound. i tasted before decanting and found it a bit sour or astringent. After decanting it had improved some. I asked Mrs. Redteeth to taste it before our guests arrived and she also found it to be "sour". I made a decision to not serve it to guests and went in a different direction with wine for the evening. But as the wine did not appear to be corked, i saved it to try the next evening. It was better but did not live up to my expectations from Shea Vineyard. I have another bottle of this same wine which I'll try soon to see if the result is different.

April 16, 2022 - PNP. Red fruits, a hint of oak and some minerality on the nose. Medium bodied with black and red fruits, tea and nice minerality on the finish. This is drinking really well now. No rush but I will drink mine over the next 2-3 years. 92 points

December 11, 2019 - Delicious. Excellent example of Shea producing another world class pinot. Brightness of the berry has rounded with age but the intricacies of the wine have been enriched. Beautiful balance and structure with earth and leather notes. Wine would have been excellent for several more years.

December 24, 2018 - We had this with many wines at a Christmas Eve dinner with friends. It was medium bodied and had a slight perfume nose with red fruit and some black tea. The color was a light ruby and it was well balanced with tannins and acidity. Dark cherries, earthy pepper a little mushroom was mid-palate. It had a medium-long finish. A very good Pinot that will pair with many foods.

    September 27, 2018 - Another reminder of why I enjoy Penner-Ash.

Deep aroma of cherry and red fruits with some oak and earth. Nicely balanced and giving a decent finish.

December 2, 2016 - Polished and refined. The bouquet and palate show suave fruit, oak, and caramel notes throughout. Well structured, concentrated, and generous.
