June 11, 2017 - Decanted 3h after opening. Very deep, almost opaque colour, still. Attractive vanillic, spicy fruit on the nose. Palate very smooth, with plums, damsons, lots of spice.
6h after opening, it had all the above plus developing cherry and cherry stones, blackcurrant and blackcurrant acidity. The wine is not 'hot' to my palate, despite its high alcohol content. There is sufficient acidity and the palate persists for a long, long time.
I do not think it is on the way down (even at this age) as others suggested some years ago. It repays good storage and, most importantly, it needs time after opening to recover from time in the bottle and to begin to stretch and grow. If you have some still, give it time after decanting......
It was even better and smoother 8h after opening (with and after food). Certainly more complex - there were hints of eucalyptus and liquorice. Some of the spicy complexity reminded me of Ch. Musar (a truly great compliment).
Excellent wine with life ahead. 91+

April 18, 2013 - Plum and dark berry arome. Palate medium finish and smooth with a lingering mint. Time to drink up.

October 18, 2011 - Clear dark purple in colour. Clean nose of plum, black current, and vanilla. Dry, med acidity, smooth tannins, med body, black current, chocolate, and vanilla. nice finish. Wine is definitely nearing the end. Drink now.

August 14, 2011 - Very dark color, classic aussie Shiraz notes, fullbodied with a medium-long aftertaste, some residue. Still fresh and fruity. Will keep for another 5 years but is peaking now.

December 12, 2010 - Plenty of plum flavours. Some choc, some nougat, a bit of turkish delight (but not a very sweet one). Decent Shiraz. Not too fruity. Not too woody. And thank god not too sweet. From my point of view a little bit too much alc. Very down to the earth Shiraz for an acceptable price. Even in Europe.
