    December 7, 2019 - Taste at Steak 48.
Showing some subtle signs of age. Stewed darker red cherries, old leather, some smoke and burnt caramel notes.
Palate is showing nice tannin integration though there is a fair amount of spice and some heat on the finish.

October 26, 2019 - Decanted 30 minutes. Singing right away with intense, balanced cassis, acid and fine tannins. Some milk chocolate and black pepper. Beautifully aged Yountville blend. I would say this is toward the end of its window so drink over the next few years.

    January 12, 2019 - B-day supreme.

    *refer to previous notes

This bottle blew my friend away. As a big spender on Cali-cabs, he said this was among the best he has ever had.

I love it. Sad this was my last bottle. Will buy this producer all day long.

November 19, 2017 - Its getting better with time, yet it still drinks like a youngster. All the usual high end napa qualities...Lots of fruit, lots of oak, lots of punch...Very long and luscious. Drink or Hold

May 9, 2016 - The score above is for what people who like super oaked nuclear bombs in a wine. This wine CONCENTRATE is so RICH that it can rival the best of them. Like a massive Cote Rotie, its thick enough to stand a fork in (wine wise), and the bourbon styled oak treatment is the cradle of all the sugar. Lots of baking spice, brown sugar, cassis, plums, and did I mention oak? I can drink this a couple of times a year, and thats it. Come to think of it, this is liquid dessert for me... Still battled with finishing it...Not for me, but I scored accordingly in fairness and respect to those who think this is what wine is all about. Still has tannins to last and improve a bit....Drink or Hold.

August 28, 2015 - Pitch black body. Big nose of cassis, dark fruit, vanilla and spices. Expansive mouth, silky and balance. Long caudalice. Intoxicating wine.

December 19, 2014 - Opulent, rich and sweet fruit. Coffee and moist dark earth notes, but the fruit really carries the day here. Straightforward and predictable.
