July 6, 2020 - Reticent smoke and mushroom nose faded over a few days
Canada mayflower berries, iron, smoked meat, tea and strawberry flavors were all fine, but did not like the watery body of the wine
JOSCH48's review of the experience of drinking the 2010 would be almost exactly the same as mine of the 2012, but I conclude more harshly based on my dislike of this wine's structure

The 2014's exuberant fruit seemed unbalanced last fall, but I may open it earlier than intended in case it's necessary to adorn a rickety skeleton

June 25, 2020 - Perhaps I was a tad harsh with my previous review. This really is very good. The nose is classic Rioja with a rich smokiness to it that carries through onto the palate - almost luscious which is more a characteristic of Gran Reserva.

June 7, 2020 - Many typical characteristics- smoky, dark, boiled fruit sweetness only lacking any obvious vanilla oak. A good wine at the Riserva level but not exceptional

June 1, 2020 - Perfekt moden Rioja og god konsistent kvalitet. +2-4 år.

May 23, 2020 - Nose was surprisingly strong and rich right from opening. A little 'tart' on the palate to start but softened very quickly to become v pleasant. I would say drink between 2020 and 2022

April 12, 2020 - Schöner süffiger Rioja; ziegelrote Ränder, Nase etwas schwach (Vanille/Holz, Kirsche), aber toller Trinkfluss!

April 8, 2020 - Always consistently good. Many good years left.

March 25, 2020 - Started out very funky, almost flawed. Very gradually it blew off but was never really very expressive. Ended up not bad but very blush in the end.

November 27, 2019 - My wife and I went to Spain last night with this wine... paired with ibérico Jamon de Bellota, aged Manchego, an artisan baguette, and olive oil. Dark fruit, a touch of earthiness, and tannins that had softened nicely made for a perfect evening. Gotta buy more as that was the last bottle....
