October 1, 2018 - This wine is still closed. I accessd a glass thru a Coravin of my last bottle. Its color and bouquet is nice, just the wine is tight and tannic on the mid palette. Jury is out on this.

September 25, 2017 - Nice wine and a good value for the price. Needs a good long decant. It smoothed out after a couple of hours. I think it may improve with some time, but it is drinkable and enjoyable now. Maybe, not worth the extra cellaring time. Not complex and a little thin.

June 21, 2017 - This wine was thin when first opened. Now after 2 hours its fleshing out. The heat of alcohol is there on the end. Plums and red fruit are mixed with light oak notes. Not a great wine but good.

November 27, 2016 - Big, lush, Merlot-driven blend. Fruit-forward flavors of blueberry and plum with soft tannins and mild acidity. Very pleasant, value priced wine that should please most consumers, but probably too brazen and lacking complexity for the true wine enthusiast.

May 25, 2016 - I can immediately tell there is a lot of Merlot in this blend. Not a fan. A lot of alcohol heat right up front.

May 5, 2016 - Nice blend. Nothing complex or interesting, but enjoyable as a weeknight sipper. Especially good QPR at $14/bottle

March 18, 2016 - Drinking great, noticed that CH updated website to include grape breakdown: Merlot 71%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Petit Verdot 5%, Cab Franc 4%. Steve Heimoff rated 93 on his recent blog.
