May 28, 2022 - This is a rich, full body cab. The tannins are nearly perfect. Opened 6 hours before drinking which seemed to be needed. Served with beef. Excellent.

January 7, 2022 - Better than the last bottle, reminiscent of a mature Napa Cab, even though it isn't.

Nose is subdued with only faint red berry, pine forest, and spice notes. On the palate, it showed that dusty red and black cherry fruit and cedar spice flavors that are in balance. Not overpowering and cloying like last time, the wine is transforming into a more elegant frame, suggesting more upside.

My last bottle, but this wine may improve for a few more years. Drink now with a decant, or to 2025.

August 27, 2021 - Served with grilled rib eye. Its a cabernet alright and have to agree with Gallionis review. Deep dark fruit but pretty one dimensional for a reserve. Struggling to find value for the price and why i have moved on from California Cabs.

July 25, 2021 - Remains a massive dark fruit wine.
Enjoyed with friends in a series of three wonderful wines, a McLaren Vale Shiraz with sweet dark fruit, Pyrenees spicy Shiraz and this terrific Napa Cabernet …..a lovely night!

March 7, 2021 - Bold, dark fruits throughout. Blueberry, black raspberry, currant and spices build along with a silky and smooth mouthfeel. Subtle smoke and coffee flavors round out the tannins. Decanted 1 hour. Aging very nicely.

July 17, 2020 - Nose was hot initially before fading. Lots of dark fruit and earth along with a savory aspect, the wine is full bodied and quite extracted. A little ripe for my palate as it comes across a little cloying, although quite smooth. It certainly could use more acidity.
    Drink now -2022

January 5, 2020 - This is big wine. Originally decanted on New Year’s day, corked without gas and drank on Sunday, 4 days later. This is big wine, probably should have cellar another 8-10 years.

Black fruit, licorice, Smokiness of burning charcoals, herbal notes and finishes with oak. Tannins are dry, with a hint of burnt tobacco on the finish. A- 91

December 9, 2019 - Although it is true that this is not the quentissential bottle of Napa Cab, and not really true of the embodiment of the Beringer style, this wine is made to capture the nouveau wine lover who only appreciates Cabernet in an overextracted style. But that is where this wine takes a slight left bend. This wine does have complexity about it. Black fruit, dark chocolate, black licorice, some tobacco. But this wine is predominantly ruled by sweet black fruit with graphite mid-tones. Definitely more than a 90 and way beyond a sub90 rating. I think this wine is easily capable of going another 10 or so years. No hurry to consume these if you have em.
