February 22, 2024 - (Not a) birthday dinner (Hinsdale, IL): Consistent with my note five years ago, this is just too lean and green and tastes too much like sauvignon blanc instead of Vatan (which is, of course, the only reason to drink or buy Vatan -- to drink sauvignon blanc without having to deal with the taste of it). Lean, and almost a bit astringent, this is really an underwhelming edition, especially with the relatively surprisingly high acidity that this has.

May 15, 2023 - Pnp. This is so good. Very toasty, flinty gooseberry. Saline, iodine, spearmint, chalk. Wouldn't have guessed it were Sauvignon Blanc. Very sophisticated stuff.

April 28, 2023 - Steak Dinner with Great Wine (Asador Bastian - Chicago IL): Lemon, lime, and lemon peel with a floral flourish, this is long, seamless and wonderfully powerful. A great Sauv Blanc at its peak.
