December 29, 2020 - Drinking really, really well right now. I sometimes have trouble knowing exactly when to pull Carlisle Syrahs - they're so concentrated and stuffed, and you want to capture that power of fruit when the structure has just started to relax. Now is that moment for this wine - guessed right!
dark, dark blue fruits with an orange rind note cutting across. pretty, floral, and dense/massive at the same time. concentrated but not thick.2 people found this helpful Comment -

November 27, 2020 - Medium bodied SLC Syrah that drank "pretty". Don't think there was any tannin left. Medium low acidity with barely detectible alcohol. With a little air it shows violets, lavender, more blue fruits than red, and a hint of spice at the end. Popped during the second half of dinner and was a pleasant sipper the rest of the evening.

November 14, 2020 - This opened up nicely after an hour and that allowed the acidity to mellow a bit. It starts with big fruit (blueberry and blackberry) up front and finishes with some pepper, warm spices and meatiness. Super full bodied and it seems like it still has lots of time left. Glad I have another bottle.

October 1, 2020 - Big juicy Syrah. Palate is plump but fresh, but the entry is rather soft at this point. Nice white and black pepper notes mixed with purple fruits and spice. Coffee on the finish. Nice Syrah, acidity seems lower than some Carlisle but by no means is this unstructured or flabby. Perfectly drinkable now.
