    January 31, 2024 - Glassware: Zalto Universal
    Prep: Pop n' pour

Similar impressions as Rich. Starting to develop that claret-like character that zins/mixed blacks can get. Complex nose of dried black cherries, blackberry, orange zest, sandalwood, and baking spice. Medium-bodied with tannins and acidity nicely integrated. Perhaps lacking a little concentration on the midpalate, the black/red fruit notes are abundant on the attack but quickly give way to garrigue and a mineral finish of graphite and organic earth. For my palate this is in a great spot, paired nicely with pizza.

January 21, 2024 - Just so good right now. Bright citrus and orange rind, with some slight baking spice on the finish. Oak is fully integrated and the acidity is front/center. Just a medium bodied mouthful of goodness. Another example of why we age these wines....although it could absolutely go longer and possibly improve a bit.

January 9, 2024 - Drinking very nicely. Clearly a field blend - Zin not too dominant in nose or palate. More black (and mybe some blue) fruited than red. Touch of violets. Some Asian spice. Med low acidity. Mature.

November 5, 2023 - Never know what I’m going to get when I open a Bedrock. This one seems to be okay with some blackberries, licorice, brambles and such, not overly complex but good. Opened and decanted about an hour before dinner and seemed to be the same from start to about 3 hours later.

July 13, 2023 - Dark fruit with a savory outer layer is accented by Mediterranean spice and well ripened grape stems. At age nine, this wine is drinking wonderfully. There a tamed level of acidity on the finish that keeps this wine lively. Good juice.

March 18, 2023 - Flat out delicious. Perfectly integrated purple fruits, violets, and a very slight herbal note on the finish that adds intrigue. Excellent and in the zone right now. One of the better Bedrock's I've had in a while. Well done boys @bedrockmorgan @underthewirewine

February 5, 2023 - No score and no note beyond I think this bottle is past its peak. Entirely possible that I am wrong but this wine never came together as I know it can over two days. It's still enjoyable but it falls short of its former self.

December 11, 2022 - Still a big wine with plenty of life to run. Lots of dark fruit and some earthy elements to balance. Quite good with tri-tip.
