Community Tasting Notes 10

June 21, 2020 - Drank from Bin North 12. Father’s Day dinner. Sour oak vanilla nose. Dark purple. Burst of dry vanilla then cocoa and hint of blackberry then oak finish. Past prime. 2/10.

July 12, 2013 - Drinking nicely. Not sure I get the bret(t) about which others have spoken. Still very good color. Nose of cherry, blackberry, leather and violets. Palate a bit truncated, but still nice fruit -- cherry and dark berries. Still some tannins, so this may last a few more years. The fruit is still pretty strong, so it may age well, at least for another year or two.

December 15, 2012 - Slight Bret, good fruit, still drinking well.
Nice old Merlot from a great vineyard.
