May 10, 2024 - High end Champagne 2012 vs 2013, tasted blind (Bad Ragaz): 7g dosage, medium yellow, Ripe nose of yellow fruit and apple, extensive cinnamon and oak spices. Rich, with enough freshness on the finish.

March 19, 2024 - Pale straw colored, nose immediately apparent right out of the bottle. Rich on the palate: brioche, pie crust, yeast, sherry, even a hint of grapefruit? Fine acidity and real structure here. Slow ox over two hours, developing the whole time and kept improving the whole time. Lovely bottle, enjoyable now, but my guess is that it will improve with time. Given the structure this is a wine I'd want to pair with food.

March 14, 2024 - An intense nose including lemon white blossom and a touch of marzipan. Lemon and apple on palate with excellent concentration and a nice saline element.

This was certainly very good but I wouldn't call it "great" - I rated the 2012 Comtes and particularly 2012 Dom Perignon significantly higher. Also paled somewhat in comparison to the other wines enjoyed on this particularly special evening...

January 1, 2024 - A beautiful wine in the making - this was our New Years Eve dinner wine. Lots of dark yellow dried fruits - good body but not that heavy. Also a little more austere than I had expected. I’m guessing this will resolve with more age. I will try to get some more if the price is right

December 31, 2023 - Nose: nutty, cheese, crispy pear, corn, granny smith, honeysuckle, pineapple, caramel
Notes: quite some savory, cheesy and mineral notes from the Champagne, also there's quite a warm and apple pie palate to this which is quite attractive. I must say this is quite promising and I am expecting that this should get even better with more time. I think perhaps another 5-6 years would be a good guess.

December 30, 2023 - Another beauty, this is rapidly becoming my favorite champagne house (along w Egly).

I do however find the 2008 WC significantly better than the 12. The 12 is ready to go and open for business. Elegant plush smooth ride. Last glass the best and maybe up to 95 pts. Hard to see how this will improve but time will tell!

December 24, 2023 - This was drunk with friends last night. This is probably the best champagne that I have in my cellar, and this bottle didn't disappoint. There's a lot of flavor in this wine, and it comes across with fine balance without any rough edges. My other favorite champagne is Krug NV, but this one wins between the two.

November 24, 2023 - Fresh apple, pomelo, runny honey and lightly toasted bread introduce the very elegant nose, with hints of white flowers and flint. As the glass warms, white fruit and mandarin abound. After some time, the palate is broad and rich, cut through with piercing acidity. The texture is ultra-fine and silky, with a weightless density to the mousse and a coiled, energetic finish that vibrates forever. Super classic Pol Roger, with a beautiful vinous texture and touch.

November 17, 2023 - Complex toasty and honey aroma. Lemon, green apple, and brioche flavors with an extremely long finish. Wave after wave of flavor. Well balanced with lively acidity. Excellent but expensive. Drink or hold.
