October 26, 2021 - 3 Terrific Rose Champagnes, 5 Great Cabernets, and a Fabulous Dessert Wine. (Yan's China Bistro, Walnut Creek, Ca.): Nose of blueberry, black berry, black cherry, licorice, saddle leather, cigar box, and forest floor, more of the same on the palate, medium/big body, mouth filling fruit, rich but subtle, silky soft yet so elegant, reminds me of DRC because you appreciate it's quality rather than its power when you taste it, has a long, lingering finish and aftertaste. June 11, 2020 - Beautiful wine. Shared it for our 20th wedding anniversary. Beautiful deep inky color with a nose of dark berries. Initial taste on palate added a bit of leather and tobacco to round out the complexity. Long finish with silky tannins. Absolutely perfectly paired with filet.

December 12, 2019 - Black Ink beauty that rises from the glass with strong leather, graphite and earthy notes. Black cherry and tobacco engulf the palette with long soft and silky feel. Tannins and acidity are in harmony as this wine was waiting to be shown. Ready to drink and likely will only get better.

May 27, 2016 - A four hour tasting appointment thanks to James. great to see James and visit Signorello. Nose of blueberry, blackberry, forest floor, and licorice, more of the same on the palate, medium/big body, mouth filling fruit, soft, subtle, rich, and elegant fruit,, reminds me of DRC because you appreciate it's quality when you taste it, long, lingering finish and aftertaste, tasted twice and enjoyed both pours. I purchased this wine and Athena for $250 each which says a lot about these wines.
