Raisins and rancio.
Smooth, sweet, creamy caramel, plums, great acidity, wood and flint, raisin and toasted bread finish.
Excellent 20 year old tawny, sweet and raisiny.

July 27, 2023 - First time trying and really enjoyable tawny. Everyone loved it. There is a sense of purity among this aromatic avalanche. Extremely long! Great stuff.
June 17, 2023 - Excellent port! Not typical in my experience. Loads of raisins and figs on the palate. Darker and more unctuous than most 20 years. I’d buy more Ramos Pinto in a minute based on this bottle.
December 25, 2022 - Xmas 2022; 12/20/2022-12/27/2022 (Matt and Marta’s): A lovely tawny port. Caramel, fig, nuts, brown sugar, nuts, dried orange peel with balancing acidity and a nice lift, it doesn’t feel too heavy and is a great sipper on a Xmas evening. Worked well with mince pies and Xmas pudding too
November 5, 2022 - Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (The Landmark, London): Umami initially, yeast extract, dark hued fruits, nuts, slight alcohol warmth on the finish but very nice.
May 9, 2022 - MMD Tour 2022 Tasting. St. Regis Hotel (St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco): Lovely nose of raisin, plum, and mocha, same on the palate, fruit forward, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, rich fruit, very tasty, just enjoy the wonderful taste, and a flavorful, long, long finish, and lovely aftertaste.
December 15, 2021 - Nose: brazil nuts, mandarin peel, dates, caramel - very mesmerizing aroma, carried by the marriage of oxidation and dried fruit
P: has a buttered rum kick - alcohol a touch hot but rich, dried stone fruit, juniper, cinnamon, toffee, toasted pecans and coffee finish
Off balance with alcohol for it to be a stunner but thought provoking
November 29, 2021 - Deep tawny colour. Pronounced and developed nose with raisins, prune, fig, cedar, leather, cocoa, coffee, dark chocolate and mocca. Pronounced taste of raisins, prune, figs, orange marmalade, cinnamon, leather, cocoa, mocca, dark chocolate and sea salt. Long and sweet finish. Medium acidity. Light tannins. Full body. An outstanding 20 year Tawny. Part of my WSET3 exam prep. Needed 15 min in the glass to open. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with cheeses or chocolate.
