  April 15, 2019 - Ripe, tasty pinot, on the lighter side with some definite signs of maturity. Cola, light cherry with some earthy pinot complexity on the finish. Drinking well, but end of life, this note was on day 2 and was showing signs of checking out.

  December 3, 2018 - An interesting wine although stylistically not what I was expecting. I was surprised by the light color on the Corain pour. Lots of crisp fruit flavors - strawberry, cherry and lots of cranberry - with some cola, a little vanilla and some rose hips on th finish.
  
  I had 2 leftover grilled Australian herbal lamb chops to pair, but they were too big and heavy for the wine. It was best with our 3-meat pizza slice leftover (pepperoni, genoa salami and pork sausage with fennel seeds plus herbs of thyme, oregano and basil) and on its own. Would be good with a roast, herbal chicken or even a holiday turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, I think.
  
  Perhaps a little better with some more bottle age? I am now eager to try the 2012 wine. I liked the 12% low alcohol as well.
  
  Good qpr for $17 on close-out.
