March 2, 2024 - Still very dark color for a 19 year old wine. Decanted for 3 hours. Gorgeous nose of black fruit, blackberry, plum, some blueberry. Violet and herbal components, some menthol. The nose is a luxury velvety beaut. Medium tannins, medium+ acidity, awesome complexity. Only thing missing was the finish, medium+ would have loved a great silky finish.

November 12, 2023 - Enjoyed this very much. Gave it a 3 hour decant...and I still think the last glass was best. There is something about the right bank that brings the Merlot grape out of hibernation and into something very complex. This seems to be very young from a drinking perspective. It is in its drinking window, but early.

October 8, 2023 - Dark red color. Chocolate/herb/cherry bouquet. Flavor is beginning to fade. Attenuated finish.

    March 2, 2023 - PnD let air for 1hr.

The last is the best. Still has great fruit with a great balance of complex tertiary notes of leather herbs and chocolate. Lingering silky finish. At its peak.

February 10, 2023 - Nose of brambleberry, tea leaves, cedar, and sassafras. Dark current and black fruit palate driving by a line of earth, black tea, leather, and mineral-driven acidity. Tannins still have some chew on the finish along with coffee grounds, black currant, black peppercorns, pencil lead, and pencil shavings.
