January 23, 2023 - Wow! I had 1886 before of same vintage but a couple years ago I was not expecting this. Was really balanced and screamed napa cab. Nice fruit up front with and even and long finish. On a 3 bottle night with friends this one stood out !

February 23, 2022 - Decanted for sediment. Classic Napa cab nose of cassis, black currant, a bit of sweet oak spice, cedar cigar box and maybe a touch of savory herbs. Similar flavors on the palate with a bit of black cherry mixed in. Medium to medium+ acid, sweet medium tannin and not a lot of oak on the palate, so a bit more classically styled cabernet. Perhaps a bit shorter on the finish than other vintages but overall, a very enjoyable bottle of cab. Just not a show stopper.
