October 13, 2023 - I had the wine at a restaurant and asked the sommelier, who had just started his first job in the restaurant, to open the bottle at the last moment. He came to me with a worried expression on his face, and I thought, "Oh no, the bottle must not be good." I took the glass, smelled it, and the wine had probably changed in just 3 minutes but was perfect. The color was still and clear. On the nose, there were earthy, truffle, and leather notes, and the palate had a nice entry but wasn't long. However, for a non-special year, you would never think that this wine is still so fresh and drinkable. It's not the greatest bottle, but definitely one to enjoy. It won't get better, but it can still hold up well if stored properly.

January 7, 2023 - Decanted briefly from bottle with cork in great shape, still a bit unsaturated and came out whole. Terrific color. Nose mostly sweet acid. On the palate, broad swath of earth and leaves with a touch of bitterness on the end that faded over dinner. Couldn't ask for a better showing on this birthday wine for my brother's 60th, very belated.

September 28, 2022 - Horseshit/Manure nose cleaned up a bit with air but not pristine. Classic red fruit and graphite palate.

September 28, 2022 - This bottle was in good condition. Tertiary, it started out earthy and gritty, and slowly improved as it came out if it’s shell; not showy, but nicely resolved and nuanced, elegant and classy mature claret.
