September 24, 2023 - Not rated, because it seemed this bottle had a bit of a leaky cork. A bit oxidized, but still nice to have tried.
February 24, 2021 - Very good! Citrus and lime. medium long. Pleasant surprise.
November 26, 2017 - A clean, crisp sparkler with lemon undertones. Refreshing!
August 9, 2017 - Very elegant, with significant fruit on the front end, solid structure, and a crisp soft finish. Quite delicious.
May 23, 2017 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. This 100% Chardonnay-based vintage sparkler is very crisp and clean, despite the 60 months aging on the lees. Clear, medium yellow, with nice, small, persistent bubbles. The nose is clean, with green apple, lemon, white flower, brioche, vanilla, gingerbread and blanched almonds. The palate is dry, consistent with the nose, but with a lemony and briny edge to the minerally finish. Medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%) and medium (+) length. It is drinking well now and seems more youthful than its stated age. Will certainly show well for several more years.
May 12, 2017 - Medium straw in color, this sparkling wine (100% Chardonnay) reveals lemon curd, green apple, brioche and almond on the nose. The mouth feel is more fuller bodied than expected with defined saline elements. The finish is noticeably short, cutting my score down several points.
Retailing for $42US, this was tasted at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour in Miami on 5/12/12017.
March 25, 2017 - nice bubbles, freshness, white fruit and flowers, little minerality and no aromatic notes. No memories. Best paired with a risotto with artichokes and tyme
July 9, 2016 - Some yeast but otherwise no autolysis flavours. Worse than a cheaper NV Champagne, disappointed.
March 20, 2016 - Yeast, zest , citrus, bread , fine small bubbles, nice acidity, quite long finish
January 1, 2016 - It is said that this is made like a champagne, not as a spumante. 5 years aging with yeast. Epiphany! so this is how "champagne" can be? Best sparkling wine I ever had. It has some body. While a bit brighter yellow than my previous favorite henriot, it has a lot more flavor. Rustique bread, yeast, lush peach fruit, heavy marcipan, and alluring presence in the finish.
