March 14, 2020 - From Coravin. Medium minus intensity aromas of cherry, slight strawberry, touch of jubeyness, a little sweet spice, slight sour red fruit underpin. Juicy, surprisingly dense, a touch of cherry stone bitterness and cherry, textured chewy mid palate, a little spicy warmth on the finish. Nice. Good to go for me but could a year or two...

January 31, 2019 - Annual Coravin blitz - day one (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Cherry fights my dusty dirty glass and wins baked with a little savoury spice. It's a little re more generous on the palate but also with a touch of smoky, stalky harshness. Hmm

August 2, 2017 - By the glass at the BA lounge . On the freshly opene side.
Having tried this a year ago almost ( Papies 85) and found it too sweet we were surprised to find it so much changed . This was more of a Syrah ( not Shiraz) in feel , smoky, light spice and with that blood/iron feel. Have we had this blind we would never have said Pinot and definitely not from the US. Well balanced and elegant wine and it's only at the palate that it shows its new world origins . Very solid 90-91

May 23, 2017 - Truffle and strawberry aromas with slight oak. Palate is strawberry driven, with a lively acidity (although it popped more in the SB tasting room last year when I bought it). Medium finish with some pleasing bitterness on the end.

May 15, 2017 - Darker red fruit. Hint of earth and spice. Today has a slightly toffee note at the end and not bitter like the last bottle. Good acidity. Medium texture. Adequate finish. Appreciate being able to open a bottle of wine to hit the California pinot itch without breaking the bank. Relax and enjoy with food without being too analytical. I enjoy ABC's winemaking style which is not trying to be something it's not.
