March 30, 2024 - Subdued nose (double decanted about 5 hours beforehand) but my, what panache on the palate. Succulent fruit, powdery textures, full of gorgeous potpourri, blueberry, raspberry, and ganache. Wonderfully layered and expanding endlessly, weightless yet full of impact. Really fine.

February 12, 2023 - Much better than a previous bottle from the same lot. Deep ruby. A little reluctant on the nose but eventually yields a whiff of black cherry. Remarkably intense and powerful on the palate; this has aged as well as almost any wine from the left bank in this vintage. Extremely impressive even if its youthful voluptuousness is long gone. After a couple of hours though it becomes even more withdrawn into itself so probably better not to hold on to this too much longer.

December 11, 2021 - In contention for wine of the vintage, this is what great wine is all about! The surreal levels of depth, exotic textures and an over 60 second finish packed and stacked with perfectly ripe, underripe and overripe plums, cherries and kirsch all coated with truffles, cocoa, herbs, dried flowers and tobacco leaf is one of those experiences you never forget.
