April 14, 2024 - had this many weeks ago - recall this being what i expected as i we had this after a Littorai Hirsch - bigger fruit, bolder, medium+ bodied, more hedonsitic and masculine but fun and enjoyable for what it is
April 14, 2024 - was in the mood for a big CA pinot and as usual, this lived up the billing. layers of sweet cranberry fruit with good acidity. terrific perfume. this is def not burgundian or lithe in style IMHO, but i enjoy it for what it is - very hedonistic, tons of polished fruit. def medium bodied and a great wine as long as you know thats the style of it.
February 17, 2024 - Double decanted for an hour, spicy raspberries, med. tannins & finish; outstanding, best bottle yet, ready to drink
January 21, 2024 - Smooth and drinking very well.
January 6, 2024 - Splash double decanted for an hour, raspberries with spice, med. tannins & finish; delicious, drink or preferably hold. This was the 2nd bottle I opened & it was much better. There was obviously some bottle variation.
January 6, 2024 - Double decanted for 2 hrs, muted nose & palate, but not corked. 2 experienced fellow drinkers said it was good & drank 1/2 the bottle. The 2nd bottle I opened was significantly better
November 18, 2023 - Quite nice. Heavily floral perfume. Palate shows blueberry and cherry notes. Ruby red color with a tinge of bricking.
October 31, 2023 - Bricked around the edges, extremely vegetal on the nose and palette. Bummer. Suspect heat damage, these bottles were purchased at auction.
August 19, 2023 - This was singing. Great fruit and sweetness blended with acidity. No decline at all. Exceptional Cali pinot.
August 6, 2023 - Absolutely great bottle of wine. Only negative is it cannot possibly be a Pinot Noir with an ABV of 15.2%
Otherwise, dark cherry and other fruits, mushrooms, just outstanding, but maybe truer to a Rhone than a PN.
