January 13, 2024 - Pale. Noble reduction on the nose, pineapple, lemon, so invitingly fresh! Stony, grippy, lemon and pear with a caramel kiss at the end. Energetic. What terrific wines Marc Colin makes!

November 22, 2022 - Brought to Willow for dinner. Wanted to try this plot as it's supposed to be Marc Colin's best wine in St Aubin. Was worried this might be advanced at the start as it seemed a little flabby, but it tightened up to show greater focus with time in the glass. A textbook old-school Burgundy that wasn't shy with the oak use. Definitely a wine that didn't eschew concentration for acidity, very rich with caramel notes and honeyed citrus fruit. I really adore this kind of classic white Burgundies which can develop into something wonderful with some age. In a wonderful spot at the moment.

July 5, 2020 - Nice pleasant nose of white fruit, but the palate is a let down - there’s none of the 14 acidity here, so the result is a somewhat flabby and uninteresting Chardonnay with a relatively short finish. Not at all bad, but boring. I expected more for a 14.

May 12, 2020 - Starts with a fresh and chiseled bouquet of floral, cool fruits, flint, sea breeze and subtle spice. Nice splash of fresh and zesty acidity on the entry, followed by a good core of citrus, stone fruits, lime peel and minerals. Very good balance and starting to drink well.

May 1, 2020 - Not very expressive wine. Roasted almond. Lacks of character and doubt that cellaring will improve it. Long decanting might help though.

November 9, 2019 - Pale and brilliant. Diam 10 closure. Reduction along with green Apple on the nose. Tasty, tangy, good concentration of white fruit and flowers. Lots of 2014 zing.

April 30, 2019 - At Le Soufflot, Meursault. Pale. Initially quite modest, almost delicate. Then some insistent acidity. Much happier when the food arrived. Excellent with smoked mackerel, then champignons de Paris, then cod with onions and cauliflower. After that, we switched to a Volnay. Some way still to go for this St Aubin, we think.

September 19, 2018 - Pale yellow. Lovely, slightly sweet nose. Delicate and enticing. Excellent mouthfeel with just a little bit of viscocity to make things interesting. Wonderful, long finish with plenty of character and a hint of struck match. Nice line of acidity running through the wine. Delicious.
