July 16, 2022 - Really solid. Dense and quite full but restrained and elegant all at the same time. Nice Vosne spice. At this point this wine can use a short decant - only got better over 2 hours. Dark fruit, cherries, blackberries. Really well made and refined wine. Loved this.

June 25, 2020 - Late night Maison Dakota. Over several hours. Re-tasted in morning also. Drank in Grassl Cru and then Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is not clean, with aromas of earthen funk, natural brett increasing with air, fruity strawberries, red cherries, cranberries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body becoming medium+ and more dense with air. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of Vosne spice, earthen funk, strawberries, bright red cherries, cranberries, and then darker spectrum fruits and leathery brett with more air. Hint of cola spritz. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Started off bright and enjoyable, but with air it actually took on a denser more ungainly character. Has substance, but not really making my heart beat any faster.

September 11, 2018 - Dinner at Fan Tong, HK. Deep purple. Intense aroma of dark fruit. Tannins quite prominent, some notes of unintegrated oak. Still needs plenty more bottle age to resolve. Medium bodied. Quite simple, rather short finish.

September 22, 2017 - This negociant cuvée lacks fourriers transperency, floralness and precision. Decanted for 30 mins. Nose and palate have berries, oak and minerals. The oak is quite dominating now yet the fruit sweetness is a bit muted. Much prefer his domaine gevrey vv.
