June 30, 2020 - I opened this in the interests of science and was prepared to pour it out, as I recall a lot of funk in prior similar bottles. This was a stunner, and thoroughly enjoyable, pretty coral/pink/blood orange inflected color, savory/subtly cidery notes but a surprising freshness. And a bit of plump fruitiness from pinot gris with skin contact. Who would have thought this wine would still have so much to offer!!

July 2, 2017 - excellent again, outdoors in summer, there is something regal in this wine reminiscent of older white Bordeaux. Very complex and changing over several hours. I hope I have more of this.

July 24, 2016 - Well with that kind of rave from Keith Levenberg, it's not like I couldn't try it... It's a pretty odd beast .. for me reminiscent of Testalonga's El Bandito South African orange wine. Quality is excellent for the money but for me it misses the balance, intensity of flavour and electricity to warrant a hi-90s kind of score. Thanks for the tip though: it's utterly delicious and very food friendly.

June 17, 2016 - Terrific. Subtle strawberry fruit, grapefruit and apple, acidic, great cut. Makes one come back for more.

May 20, 2016 - Geek night with Alex and Tim et al. (The Presidio, SF): (blind)
It looks like a white wine, but it’s deeply colored. Clear in the glass. Maybe an orange wine?
Fresh and oxidized peach skins on the nose, with slight vinegar. Slight peachy esters.
Dry and light-bodied with elevated acid and slight tannins on the palate. Phenolic bruised peach. Slight impression of lees - savory cheese rind. Slight Brett!
I like this - it’s wild, but exciting and well-balanced.
11% alcohol, Pinot Gris
