December 30, 2020 - Very nice wine, gave it 2 h in decanter. Still young and fresh so no hurry to drink yet.
Still after 6 hours it holds up.
February 14, 2020 - Bottles drunk with lunch or dinner while in Burgundy; 2/10/2020-2/14/2020 (Burgundy): I liked this quite a bit more than others at the table. It has forward, rich and polished black cherry fruit that is the house style and works so well in Vosne. The fruit provides the right frame for the spice-filled depth to linger and shine. A joyous and unforgiving expression of Vosne. Fun now and should improve as it gains nuance. 93+
February 14, 2020 - Burgundy, Day 4 (Beaune, France): At Le Soufflot. This is a sappy, sweet red Burgundy, which for me didn't really work with the vintage. It feels like the red fruit and lightness of the vintage is in battle with the more opulent, sappy style. The quality nonetheless is very good, but for whatever reason it just doesn't work very well for my palate. All the better perhaps; chasing Cathiard would have left a large dent in the budget.
October 4, 2019 - everything this wine is supposed to be... amazing color classic dark berry cardamon and cherry fruit. Ruby red nose tight Very long complex creamy finish
September 2, 2017 - Medium transparent ruby all the way to the rim. Incredibly bright cherry and red currant with notes of lemon zest and white flowers. Incredibly taut, lemony acid suspends crisp red berry fruit. The tannin is very silky and delicate and mingles with abundant chalky minerals to delicately frame deliciously appetizing red forest berries and subtle chervil notes. Delicacy and finesse. Mouthwatering fruit lingers long on the long citrus, herb, red berry and mineral finish.
February 3, 2017 - A Burgundy night at the hipster quarter (Nobbi Müller Burgunder& Süßweine, Hamburg): Starting with a slightly roasty nose, spicy black berry, enormous persistence, midweight body with great richness, still very young therefore lacking some harmony at the moment, ending fresh, long+ and saline with supporting acidity, has to evolve, for the next decade++, *(***), 90-93+?
