November 19, 2019 - Opened and decanted 1.5 hours ahead of roasted sausages and root vegetables. Pale, cloudy crimson color. Nose brings spring violets, lavender oil, smoked tar, and Bing cherries. The palate is medium-light, dense, thin, and juicy, bringing high-toned cranberries, sour raspberries, and tangy red cherries underscored by tobacco leaf, wood smoke, beef stock, and subtle notes of black olives, fresh tomatoes, and candied strawberries into the tannic, tight finish. This is still shy and will be best 2021-2027. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 92.

November 4, 2019 - Hazy, medium ruby color with some sediment. Brett/V.A. suspect flawed.
Medium+ intensity nose, developing. Red cherry, cranberry, cedar, clove, smoke, toast, farmyard, tobacco, black tea.
Medium- body with medium- tannin, medium acid, medium- intensity, medium_+ length finish. Dry. Flavors of tart red cherry, cranberry, cream, cheese.
    Drink now.

September 1, 2019 - Nose of black pepper and dark red fruits. The nose translates to the palate with a pleasant astringent quality. Good concentration but slightly thin; drinks like a Pinot.
