April 10, 2024 - Decanted 4 hours.....really soft at that point. Fully integrated and smooth. Getting it to its soft point may sacrifice a bit of power, but I think it's worth it. Smooth, quality cab at that point.
January 30, 2024 - Improved with cellaring.
December 24, 2023 - Clear deep ruby, clean a pronounced nose with as aromas of black plum, eucalyptus, flint, charred wood, earth and mushrooms. Wine is fully developed. Palate: dry, medium plus acidity,very smooth, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium plus to full body with medium plus flavors that mirror the aromas. Very pleasant and satisfying medium plus finish. Very good wine in its prime now and can also be aged for 5 plus more years
December 11, 2023 - Really great. Perfect in its age window
November 11, 2023 - This wine has aged well! Nose had its leather and earth notes with dark fruits taking over! Flavors followed with luscious dark fruit - black cherry and even ripe plum. Tannins were soft but expressive making the finish a delight with dark fruit! Really a good wine - had smoked short ribs with this wine- perfect combination!!
October 7, 2023 - I decanted this for about 20 minutes, rebottled, and brought to an outdoor dinner event. The wine was nothing short of spectacular. Huge purple and black fruit predominates. Tannins smooth and silky at this stage. Really nice lengthy finish. Couldn’t of hoped for a better experience from Hall
May 21, 2023 - Liking this better than the Kathryn (which I still have several bottles of - but have stopped buying). The blackberry fruit with cassis are the wine flavors I noticed. The aromas of blackberries (maybe a hint of black cherries?) and forest came through. The acidity, tannins and alcohol were all balanced here which is why I preferred this over the Kathryn. The wine is drinking very well now, but definitely has 2 - 5 years left in the bottle. I will visit this again next year.
February 18, 2023 - Big and rich napa cab. Still youthful and might even improve from here.

January 19, 2023 - Drank well over 3 days. Improved on second day (no decant), so give it some time to breathe to really shine. Big bold Napa Cab with good dark fruit. Still plenty of years left in this. One of the better wines from HALL.
