August 22, 2019 - I believe I bought this bottle at Costco several years ago for far less than the $120+ prices I see on Wine Searcher. It would be a crime if somebody paid that much for it. It's worth no more than $40-50. It's good, not great. I echo most of the same sentiments as the other members, EXCEPT that it is drinking well now with minimum decanting. It has all the characteristics of a well made Howell Mtn. Cab and should drink well for the next 5-10+ years, but probably will not improve much more.

June 19, 2019 - Good but very dry.

November 24, 2018 - Unbelievably tight at this point. Should have decanted it more than just the 2 hours we did.

June 3, 2018 - Nice subtle red fruit up front. Silky smooth midpalate. Calm tame finish

March 25, 2018 - Decanted for 3+ hours, which was necessary. That said, this wine is drinking beautifully right now. It is pure Hall style, big, bold, powerful but nicely integrated. Black currant, blackberries, cigar box, earth, licorice and chocolate. Decadent, tannins were big smooth with a long finish. This wine will age nicely for at least another 5 years, but don’t be afraid to drink it now.
