March 30, 2024 - 2 hour decant. Great Cab, still showing good fruit and ability to age and get even better.

June 14, 2023 - W roast chicken. Was not in CT inventory. Very different note this time. Mediocre nose and fruit. Maybe even a bit hot. Too much menthol on the finish. OK but nothing special other thana $15 wine.

February 24, 2023 - 10 years on this one now. Pop and pour at Blackfish restaurant. Paired surprisingly well with tuna tartare and perfectly with short ribs. This wine has improved markedly since we got it a few years ago. I'm really only familar with this vintage of this wine though a tiny bit in more recent ones for other Hall Cabs. For 2013-Not quite the clean, fresh feel of the Ellie's and not quite the intensity of the 1873 and frankly I can't see why buy the Katherine's at nearly 4x the price of this one and double of the Ellie's and 1873. This Coeur is certainly a step up from the entry level Hall Cab, is not a stunner but a great restaurant wine and a style of Cab that I really like. A bit old world in character, does not try to overdo it. Not a huge complexity but plenty of dark fruit and other medley to keep it interesting. Great mouthfeel and tannins not resolved but not very evident. Can go a longer time, easy 5-10 years I suspect. Small amount of mostly fine sediment.

October 8, 2022 - W vealchop in Pelham. Yummy. Very Cali cab but great overall. Great fruit body and length. This will live a few (5) more years and get better. Good!

July 10, 2022 - I have been disappointed with most if not all of K.Hall wines except for the flagship
They all seemed flabby flat not interesting and overpriced
    This one is different

May 15, 2022 - - Brick color and aromas of chocolate, cherry, smokey, vanilla and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of raspberry, cherry and chocolate with a full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. Slight spicy tannins on the finish. This wine is a baby and needs more time. Let is lay.

October 28, 2021 - Really great. Much better than I remember from tasting it early on after release. Only a slight step down from the 1873 and seems to be closing the gap between since early when I bought it. Less perfume than the 13 Ellie but flavor is great. Way better than the basic Hall cab of same vintage. Dark dark purple color. Dark Fruit forward but not a fruit bomb. A bit of licorice in the nice long finish. Should still improve from here. Fabulous QPR for when I bought it a few years ago and great for pizza night. Keep my other 6 bottles for a while. 91+

March 21, 2021 - dark ruby color with a strong aroma of plum, blackberry, and a bit of like bay leaf. Fruit is balanced with alcohol and oak. I agree with others in spite of high alcohol 15.4% woohoo it appears fine (your 1 drink is a mere 116 ml btw and the bottle has almost 6.5 standard drinks). It has a full body and soft but preserved tannins and an excellent length. The wine reflects its vintage and age.
