April 19, 2024 - Prior bottle was 14 months ago and this wine remains in a very good drinking window, perhaps even slightly better than I'd expected. Black raspberry and spices continue to dominate the nose with black cherry and earth behind. Still between medium and full bodied and with an essentially unchanged fruit profile of black cherry, black raspberry and blackberry. There's good depth through the middle and the fruit remains balanced due to the tart notes, spices and acidity on the back. The middle does show a good amount of rounded and open fruit notes, but that actually helps it contrast with the tartness and acidity behind. The finish lingers with length a a result. I did have concerns that this wine could fall out of alignment, but so far, those fears are quite premature and based on how well this bottle showed, it clearly has time left at this level.

June 30, 2023 - Brought to a dinner; opened for an hour or so; served with grilled salmon. Nice bottle of Pinot; no formal notes; eminently drinkable.

June 25, 2023 - Lots of fruit, some oak, smoke, good depth. Velvety on the palate rounded by lots of cherries and raspberries and some vanilla. Very well made, but these are just not my kind of wines. Missing nuance, subtlety, earthiness. It’s just rich fruit and a bit of vanilla…

April 13, 2023 - Ruby red in color. 14.2% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, cloves, citrus and forest floor. Medium body with medium acidity. Light and delicate with a distinct earthy profile. Cherry, blood orange, cranberry and earth on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. The fruit is fading ever so slightly here. Gorgeous Pinot Noir but best over the next year or so.

February 17, 2023 - Prior bottle was 20 months ago and this wine has evolved along the lines I'd anticipated. Black raspberry, black cherry, earth and spices on the nose. A bit above medium bodied with rounded black cherry and brighter blackberry upfront, adding black raspberry through the middle. Also shows some rounded black cherry towards the back before moving to tart black cherry and spices along with tannins and tart acidity. The mid-body fruit is becoming a bit more round, but the tart notes are still roughly where they were in my last bottle. Showing well at present, but could fall out of balance if this trend continues. Drinking well after 60 minutes and showed it best around 2-3 hours in before fading slightly towards the 5 hour mark. Should continue to drink well for awhile still, but to drink at it's current high state I would drink over the next 12-18 months. I'll open my last bottle in Fall 2023, possibly November.
