  August 4, 2023 - This wine is still doing exceptionally well when it comes to youthfulness and acidity. Popped the cork today, poured to glass, expected more of a golden yellow color in the glass. I got a very nice medium straw color. The nose of this wine definitely indicates an oxidative character: cashews, buttered popcorn, overripe yellow peach. The entry is herbal yellow fruits, bright acidity, buttered toast that really tends to get more youthful and acidic toward the middle and finish. Healthy dose of white pepper toward the finish. I was very impressed by the youthfulness of this wine. Almost expected this to be on the steep downhill approach with a honeyed amber character to it, but was very impressed with the complexity and youthfulness. I don't think I would wait too long on this if you have these though. Time to drink them up!

  July 14, 2020 - Tropical fruit with hazel nut create a sense of richness that works here. Balanced in all aspects. Good texture and weight. This is a typical California RRV Chardonnay.
