    March 14, 2024 - Nose - lucious berries, lightly woodsy, light smokiness that extends to palate.
    Palate - full body, velvety smooth, all delicious dark berries, nice full structured tannins.
    Paired with spaghetti, meat balls and toasted ciabatta. Completely delicious!
    3-14-24 - Had the remainder of the bottle with pizza, with jalapeno slices (mild heat) and the boat salad, It was wonderful!

    October 11, 2021 - The cork broke during removal, and came out in pieces. Had to finally push remainder into bottle, and strained it into decanter, and poured two glasses to drink. It was drinkable but a far, far distance from the last time we had this lovely wine. We did barely complete our glasses of wine with dinner. It wasn’t exactly totally off but -
    the next time we have a bottle with its cork dried out, we’re definitely going to taste it carefully first.

    October 18, 2019 - Dark fruits to start and then mushrooms and earth on the nose. Well balanced tannins and good structure. Medium body with a medium finish.
    For a blend and a Cab forward, it is an elegant wine with excellent age and within its time window.

    May 12, 2019 - Pepper and leather. Decanted for 1.5 hours and tannins were in th background. Good structure and rich. Good value for the money.

    March 1, 2019 - very nice cali cab. uncorked two hours before dinner Still excellent 1 1/2 hours later Big opening. Lots of ripe red fruit--but on the soft side. Medium body. Some darker fruits-dark cherry, cassis---appear and complexity is good. Finish is soft and fruity and lingering. Seems low in acid, and is elegant, silky, For me I would have liked a bit more tannin and acidity but this is a very nice wine with a very good QPR.

    February 7, 2019 - The nose is just subtle and dark and enticing and promising. Silky smooth, lovely full bodied feel in the mouth , It starts with a lovely sweetness of merlot in the front, spreading to layers of structure and all the dark fruits , jammy and delicious. Lovely with pasta, marinara and bread. We think it would be good with just about anything, or just as a sipping wine or with charcuterie.

    December 28, 2018 - This is one of our favorite vintages of this wine. It continues to get better with age. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like blackberry and red currant. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

    June 4, 2018 - Terroir-istes International - USA - California, Napa, Oakville (Cape Town Law offices): (Tasted Blind): A deep black-red colour. Youthful nose with ripe blackcurrant, raisin, and cassis. A bold entry with exotic notes, followed by leafy elements, spice, and toasty oak. I find a slight greenness and an odd angelica character before opening to tar, blackcurrant, overripe plum cedarwood and a toasty whisky lactone.
    Fair concentration, full-bodied, burly style and highly extracted; a drying sensation on the back palate like a lollipop stick distracts. The tannins are dense and quite aggressive, and the wine has a chemical sweetness. Closes with more peaty, islay malt characteristics and prominent oak and perhaps would benefit from more fruit expression.
    Blend of 70 CS, 22 Merlot, 4 PV, 4 Malbec.
