    March 8, 2020 - Corked!

August 24, 2019 - Popped and poured with porchetta. Really dark, extracted fruit on the nose—shows as an overripe blackberry bramble on the palette. Finishes with firm and ripe tannins. Ready to drink but far from it’s peak, and I imagine it won’t develop into anything more complex than what it is now: a big tannic wine with ripe dark fruit and power (med+ body and 15.2 alc). Not my cup of tea but a good example of the Sangiovese grosso biotype

January 11, 2019 - Not my cup of tea. It's big. At this stage one dimensional (and not very nice) nose. Palate is big and powerfull, I believe Parker likes it. Not a bad wine. But big and boring.

September 14, 2018 - To the nose, dark fruit with black cherry mostly. Oak and alcohol (15.2%). Slight tobacco or cigar box. On the palate, again black cherry as the primary dark fruit. Tannins in laces - fine to drink now. Slight smoke and very slight leather. Moderate mouthfeel and length for a brunello. Increase alcohol noted as warms; more dryness at end of taste. While nothing stands out, overall a good wine.

April 30, 2018 - Deep purple, but light, almost youthful.
