December 19, 2022 - Magnificent with first opened - full, rich body and classic bouquet, but began to fade after 30 minutes to a pleasant, but rather dumb medium/light bodied low acid wine that drank well for the next two days (using vacuvin and fridge). Best served at a dinner party where everyone enjoys the first glass.

November 28, 2014 - Not a great wine, but certainly in good shape, featuring more of a classic Gewurz profile. On the nose, pear, grapefruit, and lychee emerge from the glass, which is followed by a sharp, acidic mouthfeel showcasing citrus fruit flavors and a touch of sweetness. The wine went very well for Thanksgiving dinner! This vintage does not equal the majestic qualities of the 2005; definitely a more streamlined, classic style of the varietal than the more tropical, full bodied 2005. While the 2004 is still drinking quite well, I'm not entirely sure how much better it'll get (I'd revisit within 2-3 years).

February 15, 2013 - Medium intense nose of lychee, roses, cantaloupe. Explodes on the palate with honey and lychee. Off-dry, low acid, expansive and viscous mid-palate, slightly bitter, medium length finish. Very well balanced (for a gewurz). Went great with Moroccan style chicken pot pie.

November 11, 2012 - Hazy notes from a few days ago. Classic Alsacian Gewurtz on the nose and palate, with tropical fruits and lychee. Quite rich and viscous on the medium-full palate, off dry but nicely balanced. Great now, but will age a few years yet (A-).
