November 7, 2019 - Admittedly not terribly complex, but the purity of the blueberry compote and pencil was admirable. Classically Cos with plenty in reserve, though perfectly amenable to drinking today. Sumptuous, delectable.

October 17, 2019 - PNP (in hindsight, incorrectly). At first, chocolate dominate with a distinct new world style coming through. 3 or so glasses later and this become more classic St Estephe with a heavy charcoal/ tar feel to it (unpleasant). Mid way through the bottle and it settles down, with little fruit or balanced tannin however. Surprised by the high rating of others. Disappointing.

October 5, 2019 - 92-93: Agree with most of the recent reviews, this wine feels like it's close to hitting another gear, not quite sure it'll get there. Most of the tannins have been resolved, the acid is there, but this wine is really wonderful right now. It could surprise in another year or two. Classic Bordeaux notes, there is some fruit left, however. Just shows what a masterful performer can do even in an "off" year. It's 17 years old and still going strong. Excellent.

September 1, 2019 - Good Cos but needs more time

July 27, 2019 - 92 but moving up. This was nice drinking all around. Felt like serious wine with depth, complexity and balance. Probably finally nearing a plateau, but concur with the community that this could improve for a couple more years.

(Château Cos d'Estournel) Medium red violet color; cherry, vanilla nose; solid, ripe cassis, cherry palate with sweet tannins; medium finish (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot)

(Cos d'Estournel) Nose of spicey oak, forest floor, cigar and some exotic spices. Palate was juicy and ripe with nice richness and concentration. Sweet and ripe tannins with great length. Young but very accesible now.
