November 19, 2018 - Light and lithe with great juicy, raspberry notes. Really great.

October 22, 2018 - Needed a bit of time to open, but it surely did, offering lots of dark fruit--plum, blackberry--and a hint of spice and oak.

January 10, 2018 - A middle-of-the-pack Turley zin - which is relatively a good thing. The tannin don't entirely mesh with the fruit profile; there was some back-throat harshness that kept this from being great. Not a seek-worthy QPR at 30 bones. 90-91

November 2, 2017 - Blackberry jelly and strawberry nose. Jammy fruit. Mid tannins that balance well with a nice back end.

August 22, 2017 - From Tegan's own vineyard planted in 1915 in sandy soil (and on its own rootstock, I believe). This has developed into a beautiful wine. More Pinot-like than any of the other Turley offerings, the bouquet is beguiling, with Asian spices, sage, mulch and ripe black fruits. The fruit-forward part of its character carries over onto the palate, where tannins make an appearance, but not for long. A lusty black and blue fruit finish, where its Zin roots (I believe this is a field blend, although predominantly Zin) makes its entrance. Full bodied and ready for action. A splash decant might help loosen the hinges a bit. Delicious. (= Worth Seeking Out)
