May 7, 2020 - Tart cherry and red fruit. Light weight, with a touch of cranberry, earth, and good acidity. Recognizable as Pinot Noir, but not particularly complex. For the price point, it's quite easy drinking.

January 16, 2020 - decanted a couple hours; initially this would easily be confused with a low weight chianti, tart and slightly sharp and little fruit; over a bit more time the acid/tannin softened and became more enjoyable but overall not entirely to my liking. In comparison the '13 of this is quite a bit better with more fruit and better balance; perhaps the additional year will help this expand.

June 1, 2019 - No notes kept. It was pleasant enough. But the bottle that I had seemed rather monolithic (possibly closed?) and without much personality to me at this time.

    March 17, 2019 - Easy drinking PnP. 89+?

February 20, 2019 - Deep red. Crunchy, briary anise nose. Light, earthy cranberry and black fruit, sharp acidity. Much as one can sometimes compare rounder Beaujolais to Burgundian Pinot, here is an apt comparison in the other direction. Crisp and refreshing, but it will never be profound or develop that much dimension. It is, however, somewhat less pricey than the other de Villaine product line, a point in its favor.
