January 3, 2024 - Deep color fruity nose nice smooth finish past pike

September 13, 2023 - The color shows very little age. Aromas of sweet and almost stewed red berries, earth, long pepper, cedar, tobacco and some understated florals. I list all those aromas but the sweet red berries do dominate. Medium body, medium acidity, fine tanins that gain grip on a short finish. It doesn’t scream Margaux at me and thank God the acidity and lighter body counteract the red ripe berries. It lacks complexity and length but it’s easy to drink. It just lacks depth and complexity to me. The ripe red berries just take over and the finish on grippy tanins and very little spice or florals leaves me wanting for more.

I read some CT notes calling it on the down slope quite a few years ago but it seems to still be on that plateau. I just don’t think it will get any better. Enjoyable but not very Margaux-y.

March 29, 2022 - A first joking guess of Clos Rougeard, followed by “Classic medoc.” I’d call this mid modern - fruit is fairly ripe, wood is apparent still, but identifiably claret with cassis, cigarbox, and tobacco notes. Some found the wood too much. My least fave red for night, but I’d drink on a Tuesday, B/B-

March 12, 2021 - Earthy but quite fresh nose, the palate is on the light side but still has nice fruit, pepper, minerality, dark earthy flavours and fragrant red berries, black pepper, flinty licorice and leafy feel, tannins are present but, at least for the time being, together with the fruit and fresh acidity this is a fairly balance wine but I am not sure for how long since the body is gradually getting thin. Nevertheless, at the moment quite enjoyable and good.
