Community Tasting Notes 5

March 6, 2017 - - Crimsom color. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of menthol with a light/medium body. Silky texture with a medium finish.

January 22, 2011 - Still a youthful purple hue to the colour, a strong fruity nose with a background of herbs and aniseed, suggesting sweetness. Very austere in the mouth, lean with an initial bitterness and some heat on the finish. This has lost almost all fruit but includes some intriguing flavours and textures; fine tannins, gentle acidity combine to make a very dry wine. Other than the bitterness this provides a decent glass, 83-84pts.

April 13, 2009 - Colour dark red with diminishing rim. Nose of dark fruit and nicely integrated oak. Compared to other CdP I have tasted lately this wine comes across elegant, but lacking depth and complexity. Medium finish and mellow tannins. It offers nice drinking, but regretfully not much more.

March 16, 2007 - Okay - I expected something richer for the price.

February 10, 2007 - Dissapointing CdP. Flowers on the nose, but the palate is weak. Not worth the money.
