March 22, 2024 - PnP'd. Dark crimson color. Aromatics explode from the glass: black cherry, garrigue, black tea, orange rind and spice. Palate big and flavorful, but well delineated. At least two and maybe three layers with good balance and intensity. Finish medium. Fruit lively and dynamic. Sorry to have reached the last bottle of this vintage. Extraordinary.
February 29, 2024 - A very good cuvee with great typicity for SLH. Notes of black cherry, sage, orange rind, cinnamon and on the nose and palate; black tea on the finish. Long and flavorful from mid-palate through the finish.
November 6, 2023 - 20 min in the glass was sufficient to open this right up. Big but well balanced and delineated fruit up front. Unmistakably new world. This is in a perfect spot and is certainly in its prime. Will drink well for another 3-5 years.

June 26, 2023 - Crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Sensational nose of red fruits, flowers and earth. Medium body with perfect acidity. Rich, lush and fruit forward. Packed with bright, juicy fruits. Bing cherry, cranberry, cloves and earth on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Absolutely delicious Pinot Noir that could not be better nine years from vintage. Wish I had more. Best over the next several years.
March 21, 2023 - Still drinking great, maybe better than 14 months ago. As with other comments it's better with an hour of breathing. Not a fruit bomb but a wonderful balance of fruit, oak, and earth.
January 19, 2023 - Of all the Kosta wines, this either is my least favorite or my best. I got a lot of vintage variation from this Lucia wine. And it seems to require the most time open for the wine to revel itself, as it often is just okay upon opening. but it also has surprised me and delivered in spades, but again only after several days open. I think I will continue to try.
December 31, 2022 - Delicious could have used hour decant. Balanced fruit. Lite tannin. Has a few good years left.
December 12, 2022 - BOOM - what a great wine! Nice nose followed by a balanced full mouth melody of soft plums, currants and black cherries. Very enjoyable finish.
November 24, 2022 - This is so darn good. I love aged KB Pinot. Dark, rich black fruits. Long rich syrupy finish.
