  September 20, 2022 - The 2013 Cabernet Franc Union Gap Vineyard is wonderfully fresh and lifted, yet also understated on the nose with dusty strawberries, dried flowers, nuances of green olive and white pepper. This is silky with a cooling mineral freshness and perfumed notes of peppery wild berries and inner herbal tones. It finishes restrained yet long with a hint of residual tannin remaining as bitter notes of blackberry and currant linger. I love the Cab Franc varietal character that is on full display here, yet the 2013 could use a little girth on the palate to take it to the next level.

  February 27, 2016 - Q1 Tasting - Cabernet Franc wines (Our Apt): Wine #1: This was probably the biggest surprise to me of the day of Cabernet Franc tasting although a better taster than I had deduced it was from Washington. It's a relatively light bodied wine compared to some of the others we had that day. Black cherry and a bit of stem and a cleanness to the approach which made it feel quite elegant. We'd opened and decanted this for about 6 hours by the time we were tasting so it had settled into a really nice spot. One of my favorites of the day although the only pennies that made it into this wine's bucket were mine so perhaps an opinion not shared by the broader group. (2 pennies)
