  September 8, 2022 - Similar to 2019, but softer and more savory. Still lots of plum and blackberry, but it’s faded into the background in favor of cedar, smoked game, and garrigue. Bigger body, medium tannins, medium finish.

  February 20, 2020 - Cool and fresh, almost surprising considering its ink black color. Blackberry and blueberry fruit. Stone and iron notes. Understated and entirely pleasant. Minor quibble is lack of a finish.

  March 8, 2019 - Aromas of blackberry, plum, smoke, and cedar. Similar flavors with mouth coating viscosity and lengthy tannins. Long finish. Really well developed. Yum.

  September 17, 2017 - Notes after 4 hours open. Very pretty magenta color, about 70% saturated with a clear body, slow legs, and no sediment. I get the same bouquet as Jake112380 and I agree with his prior note. Earthy, cool-climate style and structure with a cord of penetrating fruit to reel you in. It needed those few hours of air to get going. 5+11+17+8= 91
